City of Angels... Goo Goo Dolls

Founded in Buffalo, New York in 1986 by guitarist/vocalist John Rzeznik and bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, the Goo Goo Dolls initially consisted of the two founders and George Tutuska on drums.

The band named themselves (the name was picked out from an ad in a True Detective magazine) at the request of a local club owner who refused to let them play under their original name the Sex Maggots.

They were originally signed by the short-lived indie label Mercenary Records and they released their self-titled debut album in 1986. A little over a year later, a Los Angeles performance brought the band to the attention of Metal Blade Records, who would later distribute their first wide release.

Lyrics:

And I’d give up forever to tutch you,
Cause I know that you feel me somehow.
You’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be,
And I dont wanna go home right now.

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breath is your life
Well sooner or later it’s overI just don’t whant to miss you tonight.

And I don’t whant the world to see me,
Cause I don’t think that they’d understandWhen everything’s ment to be broken
I just whant you to know who I am.
And you can’t fight the tears that aint coming
All the moments of truth in your lies.

When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you’re alive.
And I don’t whant the world to see me,
Cause I don’t think that they’d understand

When everything’s ment to be brokenI just whant you to know who I am.

Music

And I don’t whant the world to see me,
Cause I don’t think that they’d understand

When everything’s ment to be brokenI just whant you to know who I am.

X2I just whant you to know who I am

I love this song..

Yeh Hosla Kaise Juke,
Yeh Aarzoo Kaise Ruke - 2
Manzil Muskil to kya,Bundla Sahil to kya,Tanha Ye Dil to KyaHo Hooo

Raah Pe Kante Bikhre agar,
Uspe to phir bhi chalna hi hai,
Saam Chhupale Suraj magar,
Raat ko ek din Dhalana hi hai,
Rut ye tal jayegi,Himmat rang layegi,Subha phir aayegiHoooo

Yeh Hosla Kaise Juke,Yeh Aarzoo Kaise Ruke - 2

Hogi hame to rehmat ada,
Dhup kategi saaye tale,
Apni khuda se hai ye Dua,
Manzil lagale humko gale
Zurrat so baar rahe,Uncha Ikraar rahe,Zinda har pyar raheHoooo

Yeh Hosla Kaise Juke,Yeh Aarzoo Kaise Ruke - 2

Hotel_California

The lyrics of the song describe the title establishment, a hotel where "you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave." On the surface, the song is a tale of a weary traveler who becomes trapped in a nightmarish hotel that at first appeared tempting. There are many urban legends about the meaning of this metaphor (see Lyrics Interpretations below). The song was written about the hedonism and self-destruction in the Southern California music industry.
The original version of the song is performed in slow rock style, opening with a long, repeated electric guitar motif. During the verses, guitar and bass provide melodic counterpoint to the vocal. The end section of the song consists of a series of guitar solos building to a multi-layered variation on the opening theme with multiple guitars in chorus. The song is also well known for its guitar solos, which are performed by both Joe Walsh and Don Felder.
"Hotel California" won the
Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1978.
It is rated by many polls to be one of the greatest songs of all time:
Rolling Stone magazine, for example, states it is the forty-ninth greatest song of all time.[2] Similarly, it is one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
As one of the group's most popular and well-known songs, "Hotel California" has been a concert staple for the band since its release; performances of the song appear on the Eagles'
1980 live album and, in an acoustic version, on the 1994 Hell Freezes Over reunion concert CD and video release.

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dimI had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,’this could be heaven or this could be hell’
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,I thought I heard them say...
Welcome to the hotel california
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the hotel california
Any time of year, you can find it here
Her mind is tiffany-twisted, she got the mercedes bends
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
So I called up the captain,’please bring me my wine’He said, ’we haven’t had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine
’And still those voices are calling from far away,Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the hotel california
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
They livin’ it up at the hotel california
What a nice surprise, bring your alibis
Mirrors on the ceiling,The pink champagne on ice
And she said ’we are all just prisoners here, of our own device’And in the master’s chambers,They gathered for the feast
The stab it with their steely knives,But they just can’t kill the beast
Last thing I remember, I wasRunning for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
’relax,’ said the night man,We are programmed to receive. You can checkout any time you like,But you can never leave!

Have u really loved a women

"Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?" is a 1995 song by Bryan Adams for the film Don Juan DeMarco. It is featured on the soundtrack and also on the album 18 Til I Die. It was at number one for five weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
The song was written by
Bryan Adams, Michael Kamen and Robert John "Mutt" Lange. It was their third number one song together as a songwriting team, and went on to earn them their second Oscar nomination.
Various women's groups contacted Adams when the song became popular, which led to his publishing a series of books of photos, with all proceeds going to
breast cancer research.
During Hollywood week of the
season six of American Idol, a montage of contestants were shown singing this song.

Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?

To really love a woman,To understand her,You've got to know her deep inside ...
Hear every thought,See every dream,And give her wings when she wants to fly.
Then when you find yourself lying helpless in her arms ...You know you really love a woman

When you love a woman,You tell her that she's really wanted. When you love a woman,You tell her that she's the one.She needs somebody, to tell her that it's gonna last forever. So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

To really love a woman,Let her hold you,Till you know how she needs to be touched. You've got to breathe her, really taste her,Till you can feel her in your blood. And when you see your unborn children in her eyes ...You know you really love a woman.

When you love a woman,You tell her that she's really wanted. When you love a woman,You tell her that she's the one.She needs somebody, to tell her that it's gonna last forever. So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

You've got to give her some faith,Hold her tight, a little tenderness. You've got to treat her right. She will be there for you taking good care of you ...

You really gotta love your woman. And when you find yourself lying helpless in her arms,You know you really love a woman. When you love a woman,You tell her that she's really wanted. When you love a woman,You tell her that she's the one.S
he needs somebody, to tell her that it's gonna last forever.
So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?
So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?
So tell me have you ever really ... really, really ever loved a woman?

Winds of Change_Scorpions

"Wind of Change" is a 1990 power ballad written by Klaus Meine, vocalist of Scorpions.

The lyrics celebrate the political changes in Eastern Europe at that time - such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the increasing freedom in the communist bloc (which would soon lead to the fall of the USSR), and the clearly imminent end of the Cold War.
It appeared on their
1990 album Crazy World, but did not become a worldwide hit single until 1991, when it topped the charts in Germany and across Europe, and hit #4 in the United States and #2 in the United Kingdom. It later appeared on 1995 live album Live Bites, on their 2000 album Moment of Glory, with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and on their 2001 unplugged album Acoustica.
Many listeners of the song who are not acquainted with
Moscow are often confused by the meaning of the opening lines of the song, which are:
I follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind
of change
The
Moskva is the name of the river that runs through Moscow, and Gorky Park is the name of an amusement park in Moscow. Scorpions were inspired to write this song on a visit to Moscow in 1989, and therefore included references to the aforementioned landmarks.
In
2005 the viewers of the German television network ZDF chose this song as the song of the century. It is the highest ever selling song in Germany[citation needed] and is frequently played on television shows presenting video footage of the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is widely known in Germany as the song of German reunification (and fall of communism in Eastern Europe generally), even though it only rose to popularity two years later.
The band also recorded a
Russian-language version of the song, under the title Ветер Перемен (Veter Peremen).
Popular UK soccer show
Soccer AM uses Wind of Change as its tribute to UK troops overseas.
It also features in the video game
SingStar Rocks!.
At the end of the German movie "Manta Manta" it is played as the movies final song.

I follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change
The world closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air I can feel it everywhere Blowing with the wind of change
Chorus: Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away In the wind of change

Walking down the street Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever
I fallow the Moskva Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away In the wind of change
The wind of change blows straight Into the face of time Like a stormwind that will ring

The freedom bell for peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to say
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams With you and me Take me to the magic of the moment On a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away In the wind of change

Angel of Harlem

"Angel of Harlem" is the second single from U2's 1988 album, Rattle and Hum. A homage to Billie Holiday, it was released with two different B-sides; one was an original U2 song called "A Room at the Heartbreak Hotel", while the other was a live version of Rattle and Hum's "Love Rescue Me,"

"Angel Of Harlem"

It was a cold and wet December day
When we touched the ground at JFK
Snow was melting on the ground
On BLS I heard the soundOf an angel
New York, like a Christmas tree
Tonight this city belongs to me
AngelSoul love...this love won't let me go
So long...angel of Harlem
Birdland on fifty-three
The street sounds like a symphony
We got John Coltrane and a love supreme
Miles says she's got to be an angel
Lady Day got diamond eyes
She sees the truth behind the lies
AngelSoul love...this love won't let me goSo long...angel of HarlemAngel of Harlem
She says it's heart...heart and soul...Yeah yeah...(yeah)Yeah yeah...(right now)
Blue light on the avenue
God knows they got to you
An empty glass, the lady sings
Eyes swollen like a bee sting
Blinded you lost your way
Through the side streets and the alleyway
Like a star exploding in the night
Falling to the city in broad daylight
An angel in Devil's shoes
Salvation in the blues
You never looked like an angelYeah yeah...angel of HarlemAngel...angel of Harlem...[Repeat and fade]
